Bio
Linera Lucas’s poetry has appeared in The American Journal of Poetry, Clover, Eclectica Magazine, The Museum of Northwest Art, PageBoy Magazine, Quartet, Spillway, What Rough Beast, and elsewhere. She won the Crucible Fiction Prize and her short stories have been published in Boomtown Anthology, Change Seven Magazine, Crucible, The Jack Straw Talking Chairs Project, Pipes & Timbrels Anthology, Pindeldyboz, VerbSap, VoiceCatcher Anthology and other journals. She is co-editor of When Home is Not Safe: Writings on Domestic Verbal, Emotional, and Physical Abuse, published by McFarland. Lucas has a BA from Reed College, an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte, and has taught at the Reed College Alumni Writing Workshop, The University of Washington Women’s Center, and Hugo House.
